Is it hard to be saved?

In Matt. 7:7-8 the Lord says “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.”

It means that means that the Lord has promised to save everyone who sincerely asks. Don’t worry about your friend and don’t be guided only by your feelings. Feelings are almost never a good indicator for behavior. Approach the Lord quietly and confidently. Tell Him that you you know you’re a sinner in need of a savior, and ask Him to forgive your sins and be your Savior. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” Any one who chooses to believe that Jesus died for all our sins, past present and future will never die but have eternal life.

After you’ve said this prayer, listen for the voice of the Holy Spirit who God will send to dwell within you to guide you into behavior that pleases Him. It may be a pretty small and quiet voice at the beginning so you’ll have to listen very carefully. But as you learn to listen it will become clearer and clearer. This voice is what tells you you’re saved, not your feelings
